【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardappliestocontainersofliquid,solidorgaseoussamplesforusewithcooledgermaniumdetectorsinquantitativegamma-raymeasurements.Thecontainervolumesrangefrom50cmto3000cm.Thepurposeofthisstandardistospecifythevolume,thedimensionsandthephysicalcharacteristicsofthecontainersusedinroutinegamma-rayspectrometryofliquid,solid,orgaseoussamples.ThisstandardcombinedwithIEC60937andIEC60973definesalimitednumberofsource-detectorgeometrieswhichareusefulininter-laboratorycomparisons,particularlyinthefieldofradiologicalprotection.Theuseofuniformsamplecontainerswillfacilitatethereproducibilityofcountingandthedeterminationofefficiencycurvesinadditiontomakingsuchefficiencycurvesmoreuniversallyusefulfromlaboratorytolaboratory.Reproducibilityofthedefinedgeometriesshouldbeensuredbysuitablemeasures(useofcenteringdevices,forexample)thatarenotpartofthepresentstandard.Thisstandardisparticularlyapplicabletosemiconductorgamma-raydetectorsbutcanalsobeusedwithscintillationdetectors.
